Golf-Verplank withdraws from PGA with hip injury

KIAWAH ISLAND, South Carolina, Aug 10 (Reuters) – American
Scott Verplank withdrew from the PGA Championship with a hip
injury on Friday, half way through his second round at the Ocean
Course.
